History of the Mojito

The mojito may be old as hell, but it sure doesn’t taste like it! Experts place the innovation of the rum cocktail around the early 1500s in Havana, Cuba, and was named for the lime-based seasoning “mojo.” Though it’s traditionally made with lime, mint, ginger and syrup, you can feel free to add your own style to the original blend. Feelin’ like a lemon instead of lime? Go ahead ya crazy animal! We’re not gonna stop ya.
