Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins
Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins was a tough old sea dog with a shrewd intellect. For 40 years, Sailor Jerry honed his craft on a canvas of carousing military men in the rough Hotel Street district of Honolulu. A self-taught electrician, poet and all-round tinkerer, he revolutionised modern tattooing and created an artistic legacy that is still felt today.

The Sailor Jerry brand actually started as a small indie company printing Jerry "flash" on t-shirts, belts, sneakers and work shirts. Then we made the rum based on the spirit sailors used to drink — and it started to outsell everything else. But we haven't forgotten our roots. We still keep Sailor Jerry's legacy alive and vital, printing the Man's art on honest, simple clothing for men and women. learn more
