To end the year right in Ireland, Tiki fun was had in Dublin.
The Dublin Bar Academy, in association with the European Bartender School, educate students on cocktail excellence and Sailor Jerry is one of their favourite spirits to shake things up with. In late November 2018 we did just that to celebrate the students who had recently completed their cocktail masterclasses.
Every month the Dublin Bartender Academy host a Tiki night and in November Sailor Jerry took over to produce the most ‘All In’ night the venue, their graduating students, friends, and the local who’s who of bartenders had ever seen!
The night started with the Sailor Jerry Global Rum Rudeboy Gravy Thomas giving a Tiki & Tattoo talk to the attendees who left with a deep understanding of our Spiced Rum, the man Norman Collins, and how his tattoo artwork and our liquid plays directly into Tiki culture.
The doors then opened up to the Dublin public where a packed room of awesome partiers were greeted by the aerosol spray paint art of @fink.art who recreated our Sailor Jerry Hula Girl on the walls. Upon entry, guests received a Hawaiian Leis from our Mahalo madam, the Sailor Jerry-esque Foxy P. Cox. DJ @aidankelly provided the rock n’ roll, surf, and island soundtrack that had the room and street style dancers jumpin’. We had the amazing live drummer @j_mc_drumz on hand to bring the beat for some Sailor Jerry Human Bowling during the party action. Local bartenders, known for their Tiki talent shook up Sailor Jerry drinks, lit torches, and flared with fire to the crowd's enjoyment as a selection of classic Tiki cocktails were sampled. @franciscotattooartist inked a select few of our lucky partiers with iconic Norman Collins tattoos who were brave enough to spin the wheel to reveal the tattoo they would be leaving with.
Thanks to all our awesome guests, who went All In, Sailor Jerry style and made it a night to remember!
