Ladies and gentlemen, guys and dolls, we are officially closing the doors of Hotel Street on Saturday 30th June. We've had a damn good ride and this week is gonna be even better. If you haven't been down yet then it's time to step up. And you better move fast if you don't want to miss out as once it's gone, it's gone forever. And we mean that.

If you need and excuse (any should do really) then here's what's going down in the next few days:

Tues 26th June - The Minutes and Girls Names hit our exclusive stage, along with some rock and roll DJs taking us through to 2am. Partying on a school night is simply how we roll. How about you? Take a look at The Minutes' Facebook page here and revel in the delight of a song below:

Weds 27th June - Come on down during the day and have a spending spree with the last of the clothing. You know you wanna! We're closed in the evening for a private party...sorry about that.

Thurs 28th & Fri 29th June - We'll have loads going on - a burrito eating competition from 12-2pm...do you think you've got the stomach? It's also your last chance to party with us without an entry fee of ticket....hands up if you wanna join us? You certainly won't be disappointed....

Sat 30th June - The party of the year - Hotel Street Closing Night! Starting with a Challenge Jerry Arm Wrestling competition and burrito eating finals in the daytime moving into a sweet late-night party 'till 2am. Tickets available soon for only £3...limited availability for those who move fast. Sweet headliner to be announced soon...

And it that's really not enough, our gallery of original Norman Collins artwork is still on display for you to drool over. If you like tattoos, you will like this. We've had grown men crying over the beauty and historical significance. Really.

Don't forget - the Sailor Jerry clothing store awaits you - with the gorgeous girls selling the clothes and the gorgeous clothes themselves, it should be the icing on the cake of your visit.

Every year on June 12th we celebrate Sailor Jerry Day - the anniversary of a legend's death in 1973. Sailor Jerry was an independent spirit, an innovator and left a lasting legacy on the world so every year we raise a glass to the man himself and honour his life and on-going influence around the world.

Between 12th - 17th June 2012, down at Hotel Street, we will be celebrating every day with gigs, late-night gallery viewings, drinks specials and discounted clothing offers.

Gigs & Gallery: 

Tuesday 12th June - Sean Spits from American punk band The Spits headline the Hotel Street stage with support from King Khan and Jasper Hood's project The Black Jaspers.

Wednesday 13th June - our very own gallery curator Henk Schiffmacher will be in town to show you round the amazing gallery on display at Hotel Street. What better way to honour the man than seeing the art created by his own hand? Come down from 7pm for a viewing and a rum.

Saturday 16th June - During the daytime, we're showing a free screening of Hori Smoku at 3pm and in the evening, Bo Ningen, the London based (yet Japanese) psyche-garage band take to the stage and party until the early hours of 2am,.

Old Ironsides Hour 

Everyday day until Sunday, we will host Old Ironsides Hour from 6 - 7pm. Taken from the name of Norman Collins' radio talk show broadcast on KGRT Honolulu back in the day, we will offer 20% off t-shirts every day in this time. Not only that, there will be a special drink on offer to tickle your fancy. Here are the daily breakdowns...


Tuesday 12th - Stormin' Norman. To honour the man himself, we have created the Stormin' Norman. Made from a mix of Sailor Jerry, cold espesso and sugar - shaken hard over ice - this will tickle your tastebuds and keep you rocking with Sean Spits and The Black Jaspers for hours.

 

 
Wednesday 13th - Hellfire. A hearty mix of Sailor Jerry, Old Jamaica Ginger Beer, Brooklyn Lager, fresh lime and tabasco, this fiery mix is the perfect accompaniment to a late night gallery viewing and DJs.

Thursday 14th - Rumarita. It may be raining outside, but step inside and it will feel like summer with this chilled cocktail. Made with a mix of Sailor Jerry, lime, Cointreau and blended with ice and served with a salted rim.

  
Friday 15th - Death or Glory. Sweet yet spicy, the Death or Glory is an in-store favourite. Wrap your lips around a mix of Sailor Jerry, chili, raspberry, cranberry, lime and sugar...in our special jam jar glass.

Saturday 16th - Mint Collins. A true classic for sure. Sailor Jerry, mint and lime all muddled together with sugar - those who like to stick to what they know won't be disappointed with this.
 

Sunday 17th - Hotel Hooch. Going back to our Hotel Street roots, this fruity punch harks back to the fruity flavours of the Caribbean. Ingredients include apple, guava, mango, lime and passion fruit juice - and our very own Sailor Jerry of course.

With all of that on offer, you've got every excuse to come on down for a visit. Open from 12 Midday every day, we're at 121 - 125 Charing Cross Road, London. Come and celebrate a legend with us and raise your glass to Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins - 1911 - 1973.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are please to announce that Gallows will be playing our new venue, Hotel Street, on 22nd June!

 

Fresh from announcing their new album which will hit the shops in September, Gallows have also confirmed sets at both Reading and Leeds festivals, as well as Bestival. Their gig at Hotel Street will be one of their most intimate shows and is certainly not one to be missed!
