World/Inferno are one of the few bands around today that have been able to carve out their own niche in a sea of endless clones. They have their own sound. Be it a sound created by blending various styles and textures and making them their own. And when I say "blending styles" I don't mean rock and punk or any of the other boring music people peddle off as sounding new.
Accordion? Check. Dueling saxophones? Check. Bells, mustaches, distorted guitar, piano and a singer that could raise the dead with his charm? Check x 100.
That fact that they get away with even half of what they try is pretty impressive. Wait…that sounds bad. What I mean to say is, when's the last time you heard a band with any of the elements mentioned above actually be good, let alone incredible?
I don't care how amazing the new LP Red Eyed Soul is, (and BTW it's SO amazing we included the first track on the upcoming SJ CD) the best way to experience the band is live. All of the bands intricacies, parts and philosophies come to life and create a moment in time only to be repeated in your fondest memories.
